Worship
Worship is at the center of our lives as we gather as followers of Jesus Christ. It is a joyous time when we can share our lives together, welcome new lives into our midst while we praise God, give thanks for the world and are spiritually strengthened and guided into mission.
All are welcome to worship here regardless of religious or ethnic background, race, gender identity, economic status, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability.
The morning messages speak to the scripture in relevancy to today’s concerns and needs. Communion is open to all and is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, Maundy Thursday and other services as appropriate. The worship experience is a blend of traditional and contemporary and we try to use inclusive language in our services.
The worship experience is enhanced each week by the music ministry of our creative and inspiring choir director and our gifted organist/pianist. We are blessed to have a talented choir who brings a message of music each week through most of the church year as well as providing worship through music at Christmas, Easter, and Maundy Thursday. In addition we have, in the congregation and in the community, instrumentalists and vocalists that add to the variety of worship music.
Sunday services can be viewed on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. on local cable channel 12 and DVD’s of the services are available upon request.
As we are all ministers together…everyone participates in baptisms as well as confirmation by the laying on of hands as they take seriously their call to be one in Christ.
